A no-show doesn't cost you a day. It costs you the day, the re-sequence of every trade behind it, and usually an awkward conversation with the owner. Across a year, a one-to-two-lost-days-a-month pattern is real money — and it's almost entirely preventable with one email.

The system, in full

Every Monday, same time, every active sub gets a 2-week lookahead: what's happening on each of your jobs this week and next, when they're expected, and what needs to be true before they arrive. That's it. No software required.

Why it works

Subs juggle multiple builders. The builder who confirms dates in writing, every week, is the builder whose jobs get slotted first.
Problems surface a week early. "Can't do Thursday" on Monday is a reschedule. "Can't do Thursday" on Thursday is a no-show.
It's a record. When the argument comes — "you never told me" — the email says otherwise, politely and permanently.

Why builders don't do it

Because writing it takes 40 minutes you don't have at 6am on a Monday, and the week you skip it is the week someone doesn't turn up. The habit fails exactly where every manual system fails: on the busy weeks, when it matters most.
